A universal truth, given poetic form by yours truly! Have fun, Amy
NO ONE WANTS TO CLEAN THE TUB
Soap scum, sloughed-off cells and scunge
Hair of questionable origin
The bathtub, basin of family grunge
Gloves and gas mask, I’m going in

Very true. No one does want to scrub the tub. Thats why people get scrubbing bubbles foam cleaner.

I’m an old-fashioned, environmentally screwy type who does a lot with white vinegar and baking soda. Pain in the butt, but you know, it’s greener. Not beating anyone over the head for going the scrubbling bubbles route – I totally sympathize! But I have time to “slow cook” the cleaning, so… I have created MY OWN PERSONAL HELL ON EARTH!
Ha ha. Thanks for visiting! Amy

I’m going in … LOL, I love it! :o)

It’s real life. Once in a while, these odd moments make fertile ground for the muse, right? Thanks, Deborah! Amy

Quite the funny poem, Amy. In my house, most of the cleaning is done by me, as well as the cooking. It doesn’t bother me that I’m a bit of a househusband. I figure that Miriam does all of the driving and keeps track of the finances so I should do my part.

We are much the same, Brett. I do the paperwork, Lex does some of the housework but mostly works at church, so I have my office at home to sit and ponder poetry and life and how to manage my mental health!
