Guilt Trips (a limerick)
Don’t try to put guilt trips on me
I know when you try them, you see
I find them soul-sapping
There’re merely lip-flapping
And therefore ignored easily

NOTE: Once in a while, I like to have a fun day of poetry. No sturm und drang, no tragic heroes, no political rants, no child abuse… just a little tickle to the funny bone. (Plus I’m a bit manic today!) Have a beautiful day, wherever you are. Peace, Amy
You’ll find this in the right column at Poets United, where they love me whether I’m manic, depressed, or somewhere in between! Check it out.

I love your lighter side too! 🙂 love and prayers!

Thanks, Debbie. On a very positive roll at the moment. Peace, A

Wit and wisdom, truth and poetry. A good combination.
Sharp Little Pencil

My childhood was one huge guilt trip. Figured it out before I had Riley, and lucky for her, right? Mom Guilt Trips are the worst, and I refuse to play that mind game on her. Thanks, Brian! Peace, Amy
El Guapo
Wonderful! Finally, someone has done something worthwhile with a limerick!
Sharp Little Pencil
Keep in touch, Guapo, I have some more. I don’t generally post silly ones because I think limericks are capable of more, but that’s heretical to the limerick community. I do love Mad Kane’s blog because she is VERY clever as opposed to, “Will it fit with da-DAH-da-da-DA-da-da-DUM…?” She’s an award winner for humor. Peace, Amy

For all the fun trip and it was delightful, there is a great lesson here too, which is “to your own self be true”.
