She’s a Classic
She’s a classic
antique, silver
Smooth lines
Smart mouth
Knows the score
Gives what-for
Loves change
Changes for no one
but herself
Reads, learns
Sees, remembers
Shares with abandon
Abandons no one
Wants for nothing
Her needs are easy
Her burden is light
Her way is forward
She never looks back
except, perhaps, to smile

For Imaginary Garden With Real Toads, the second poem for April PAD. (yesterday’s prompt was “Horse,” and I had nothing. Not even a pony.) The prompt was “The Classics,” but I had another little “dickens” in mind…

Sounds like a lady I’d like to be, Amy. Or to be with except I have one just like her that I’m with. This was a fun read. BTW, You did fine with the fwoop, fwoop, horse ride. Not all of us could have grown up on a farm or have had riding experience.

Smiling at yesterdays is a great way to move forward. That’s a classic way to deal with life.

This is a person I would like to know. In a world of superficiality a genuine soul is hard to come by.

How so easy and blessed. She has all of the things she needs without bothering others
The lines are classic, in fact, Amelita!
