Zentangled
Doodlers delight in empty margins
Empty spaces need a bit of this and that
My teachers hounded me for scribbling
Riley suffered the same fate in school
Only difference: She became a bone fide artist
while her mom still doodles oodles of oddities

ABC Wednesday is on Z, and I am into Zen tangles just before sleep. Such a calming pursuit, helping me to let go of the day, simply allowing my mind to follow my pencil as it meanders.
I know serious Zen Tanglers work in pen, but you know me… This blog ain’t called Sharp Little Pencil for nothing! Happy New Year and peace, Amy

I often do mine in pencil first because i just have to erase my mistakes tho’ I believe true zentanglers don’t believe in erasing. This is a nice piece with interesting details.

Hey, I never follow the rules. Strikes me as elitist, and I’m an old Leftie, so I would START to erase if they told me I shouldn’t. Ha ha ha.

hey darlin’ – love the post – the bit i was able to read..! on a painfully antiquated computer.. you have been sooo much in my mind while i was at addo elephant national park – what brilliant, majestic creatures. photos and video to follow when they can be downloaded. in the meantime, will send you a card if you send your address. hope all’s well and that the goat is bursting forth merrily in your new year. xo Date: Thu, 8 Jan 2015 05:39:00 +0000 To: rosepreston01@hotmail.com

That’s beautiful Amelita! It’s not just doodling but a fantastic pattern you have here. All that with just your sharp little pencil? How great! And that is true in what you said. Get it off the system and one can go to sleep peacefully!

I’ve worked with two doodling teachers who would fill their margins during teacher meetings. I would like to try this Zentangling. Oh, and thanks for the comment about my cars. Cats Are The Best and the most fun to watch!
