At Three Word Wednesday, we were given: Buckle, Evade, and Wedge. OK, I fudged a bit on “wedge,” but art requires slight adaptations here and there… Enjoy! (You probably won’t if you were ever subjected to this bullying.)
WEDGIES
The ultimate teenaged bully stupid stunt.
Grab the nerd by his buckle
so he cannot evade this torture
Then pull on his underwear waistband. Hard.
Next to swirlies (those delightful dunks
headfirst in a flushed toilet, which can be
perpetrated on either gender), performing wedgies
is the sign of the true moron.
The wedgie-wanton often become
successful used-car salesmen and
captains of dart leagues at beer-soaked bars.
They rarely, if ever, get laid… let alone married (for long).

ha! I was often victim of these being one of the smaller dudes in gym class. funny and spot on!
Sharp Little Pencil
I cannot stand bullies. I used to get picked on for using a cane (juvenile arthritis). But wedgies, I imagine, are the worst for a guy. Sorry, honey! Amy
Debbie
I love the artist in you that can make slight adaptions and come away with something wonderful. Boo Bullies! Yay Amy!
Sharp Little Pencil
Debbie, thank you so much. As for Boo Bullies, hear! Hear! Parents need to wake up!
Happy, peaceful New Year to you, hon. Amy
Donna Hole
Such a tragic prank. Kids can be so cruel.
……..dhole

Donna, it’s so true. Bullies are such cowards, really, they have to sneak up on unsuspecting kids and ambush them. What really stinks is that their parents often overlook this behavior, or claim, “My (fill in the name) would NEVER do that…” and leave it there.
Thanks for stopping by! Amy

happy new year Amy 🙂

And the same to you, my friend! 😉 Amy

Wow! Spot on. Bullying of any kind should never be tolerated. Well done, Amy!

Did you catch Jae’s comment on this? It is priceless.
I stood up in church three weeks running and spoke during Joys and Concerns about bullying – of gay teens, of short teens, of kids with acne… and how that behavior is often learned from parents and from the Tube. Wanted people to wake up. One person said later, “Now, Amy, boys will be boys.” I replied, “If this is in reference to tolerating bullies, I disagree. Sometimes boys, and girls, can be nasty little people, and it’s up to all of us to set them right.” (Huff, huff, huff, she ran away)

Now I understand why I was such a good car salesman, why I went on to run beer-soaked bars with winning darts teams and never managed more than 7 years marriage! Thanks so much for the delightful comments you left on my site. It makes all these hours sitting here worthwhile!
Sharp Little Pencil
Well, the winning darts teams are something to crow about, and at least you kept the marriages going for 7 years each! Now, can you get me a good deal on a used car!
I want everyone to know I DID leave good comments on Keith’s site. He’s just pulling my leg. The wooden one filled with chocolates!!! Amy

Aint that the truth! It’s always an internal triumph when the person who terrorised you at school delivers your pizza..Jae

I was a victim of bullying, though not in this manner. I’m glad to see so much more emphasis on combating bullying now. As for my bully, I’m figuring he’s probably rotting away in prison…or dead. Regardless, a great read, Amy.
