Mama Zen at Real Toads asked for a 20-word synopsis of the election results; ABC Wednesday asked for poems about the letter Q. Short and sweet today… very sweet, in fact! Also at my poetic polling place, Poets United.
Quick Recap of Quirky Election
Some clues
to amuse:
No horses, only gardens.
Women keep reproductive freedom.
Neither of the First Couple dye their hair
But there’s still war.

Ordinary Words…great Q post♫ More like a quirky recap of a quicksand election♪
Mary Mansfield
Great illustration of your viewpoint in so few words. Very nicely crafted, Amy!

Sweet summary, but I bet you could extend the horse-garden metaphor to include the fertilizer.

“But there’s still war”…aye, there’s the rub!
Nevertheless, I believe it could have been a whole lot worse. Canada has a prime minister who is just itching to buy fighter jets so he can send them off to fight someone. I think he’d have loved to have an ultra-conservative buddy on his side, because Obama has shown he’s not interested in the little Canadian PM’s puffing and bluffing.

This president has to clear the mess that mr Bush had left. And that will take a long time. In the Netherlands we disliked president Bush and like
Obama very much.
Thanks for your comment on Quirinius. The most important thing is thatJesus was born and left us the message of peace and love. We have to love our neighbour as ourselves, but… also our enemy, which is difficult. The birth of Christ was written decades after his death and resurrection. Quirinius was not important for our religion, I only neede him for the letter Q.;)

definitely avoided war i would dare to say…
